2009 Vs 2010 Better Gaming Year?
2009 5 VGA Nominess:
Assassins Creed 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Uncharted 2 *Winner*
Modern Warfare 2
Batman Arkham Asylum
2010:
Red Dead Redemption *Winner*
Mass Effect 2
God Of War 3
Black Ops
Halo Reach
2010 was a better year.
You only listed the nominees and winners of the Video game Awards and that show is not respected among gamers because of how juvenile it is. There are more respected sources for Goty nominees, such as respected sites like Gamespot and IGN. If you look at those lists it’s pretty obvious that 2010 is the most impressive gaming year of this generation (which started in 2005). There were great titles on every platform and Nintendo even managed to “win’ E3 this year.
The best games of 2010 are, in my opinion, Mass Effect 2 and StarCraft II.
Next year’s gonna be a big one as well with titles like Dragon Age II, Mass Effect 3, The Legend of Zelda, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Portal 2. There’s a big chance it will beat 2010.

Chapters: Amusement Parks in New Orleans, Louisiana, Six Flags New Orleans, Pontchartrain Beach, Spanish Fort, New Orleans, Blue Bayou and Dixie Landin’, House of Shock, Lincoln Beach Amusement Park, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, White City, Lincoln Park. Excerpt: Six Flags New Orleans is an amusement park in New Orleans, Louisiana, which has been closed since Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005. The park is located in Eastern New Orleans, in the Ninth Ward of the city off Interstate 510. The park first opened under the name “Jazzland,” opening in 2000 and operated by Alfa Smartparks before Six Flags took over the park lease in 2002. The land, owned by the city of New Orleans, is currently leased to and operated by Six Flags. After Hurricane Katrina, Six Flags has sought to end its lease on the site. The owners claim the park must remain shut down as long as outstanding claims with insurance companies remain unsettled. On September 18, 2009, the city of New Orleans fined Six Flags $3 million and ordered the park to vacate its lease. On August 18, 2009, it was announced that the land would be re-developed into a Nickelodeon-branded water/theme park. As of early 2010, the site is overgrown with debris and weeds. Removal of the debris and underbrush has now begun. “Batman” ride at Six Flags New Orleans in 2004 Rides included the Mega Zeph, a wooden roller coaster track built on a steel frame to prevent termite infestation and withstand hurricane force winds. The Mega Zeph was inspired by the old Zephyr roller coaster at the closed Pontchartrain Beach Amusement Park that was located next to Lake Pontchartrain by the University of New Orleans. The original intent was to rebuild the Zephyr but it was a smaller roller coaster so that idea was scrapped in f… More: |

Fightstar Albums: Be Human, One Day Son, This Will All Be Yours, They Liked You Better When You Were Dead, Grand Unification, Alternate Endings $10.09 Purchase includes free access to book updates online and a free trial membership in the publisher’s book club where you can select from more than a million books without charge. Excerpt: Be Human is the third studio album by English alternative rock band Fightstar, released on April 20, 2009 through Search and Destroy Records. The iTunes digital download includes a bonus track which is an acoustic version of “Unfamiliar Ceilings”, the final track on the band’s previous studio album, performed with former XFM presenter Katie P. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at number 20, making it their highest charting album to date. A deluxe edition was later confirmed by the band, which was re-released on March 1, 2010. The deluxe package included four newly recorded tracks, a DVD of the bands unplugged performance at the Picturedrome Theatre in Northampton, new cover art and revised track listing. The band first mentioned that they were working on new material back in March 2008. They confirmed that after completing their tour with Brigade, they would begin writing during the summer and would be posting updates for fans with video diaries from the studio. Recording took place at Treehouse Studios in Chesterfield, the personal studio of co-producer and friend, Carl Bown. Recording sessions began in August 2008, and were due to finish in November. The band’s vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Charlie Simpson confirmed tentative working titles as “War Machine”, “English Way” and “Mercury Summer”. He mentioned the former would have a distinct “rock opera” feel to it with heavy string sections. After the bulk of recording had been completed, the band went to Air Studios (where film scores for Pirates of the Caribbean and Batman Begins had been composed) to record the string sections with Audrey Riley. Simpson later commented that “it was great to bring that element, that classical side, into it. It adds so much.” Leading up to the alb… More: |
